How to Create an Index
Your Index is a personal navigation tool for a recording. It lets you name the moments that matter to you and return to them instantly.
Why an index instead of highlights
Highlights mark where you were. Index entries mark what you understood. Two people listening to the same recording will notice different things — that difference is the learning. Onda keeps your index personal by design.
The quick way: double-tap
Double-tap any sentence in the transcript. Onda captures the opening of that sentence — up to 50 characters — and saves it to your Index immediately. No menu, no confirmation. It is the fastest path from reading to remembering.
The precise way: press and hold
Press and hold to select any text you choose. When the selection menu appears, tap Phrase. The exact text you selected is saved to your Index.
What happens next
Your index entries appear in the Index panel (tap Index at the bottom of the screen). Tap any entry to jump the audio to that moment. You can remove an entry by tapping the delete icon next to it.
Your index stays on your device. When you share a recording bundle with someone else, your index is not included. The person receiving the bundle builds their own.
