Overview

ONDA REPLAY is an audio recording and transcription app designed for capturing important conversations. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app. Most of your data never leaves your device.

What Stays on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server:

• Audio recordings (WAV and M4A files)

• Transcripts (text files)

• Session metadata (labels, notes, tags)

• App settings and preferences

• The SQLite database containing all your recordings

All of this data lives in your app's private storage. No other app can access it without your permission.

What Is Transmitted

When you tap "Transcribe" to convert audio to text, individual audio segments are sent to our transcription service for processing. Specifically:

• Audio chunks (up to 2 minutes each) are sent via HTTPS to our transcription API

• The audio is processed using OpenAI's Whisper speech-to-text model

• The resulting text is returned to your device

• Audio data is not stored on the server after processing is complete

Transcription only happens when you explicitly request it. Audio is never sent automatically.

Sharing

When you use the Share feature, files are shared only through your device's built-in share sheet (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). ONDA REPLAY does not upload files to any server on your behalf. You control where shared files go.

No Account Required

ONDA REPLAY does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. There is no user tracking or analytics.

No Advertising

ONDA REPLAY contains no advertisements and does not share data with advertising networks.

Data Deletion

You can delete any recording at any time from within the app. Deleting a recording removes the audio file, transcript, and all associated metadata from your device. Since transcription data is not retained on the server, there is nothing to delete remotely.

Backups

The Backup & Restore feature creates ZIP archives of your data within your device's app storage. The Export Backup feature lets you save a copy via the share sheet. Backups remain under your control at all times.

Microphone & Storage Access

ONDA REPLAY requests microphone permission to record audio. Storage access is limited to the app's private directory and files you explicitly select via the system file picker. No broad storage permissions are required.

Children's Privacy

ONDA REPLAY is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
